Raytracer
I have an interest in offline rendering, since it is what some real-time techniques attempt to emulate. I'm closely following the book "Physically Based Rendering", and as such the design of the renderer will be very similar to pbrt. I'm developing the renderer in C#. I think this along with not looking at any of the source forces me to write every line of code myself, and I will benefit with a greater understanding of how even the smaller less important components work.
I also enjoy maths, so have no problem going over all of the important equations outlined in the book to make sure that I understand well each aspect of rendering.
